I mentioned this in a previous post, but it’s officially official now! My story, Recapturing the Spark, can now be read in After Dinner Conversation literary magazine. I’ve had some stories and poems published in a literary magazine before but it was run by college, so I privately don’t even count those. This is my first publication with magazine that I have no ties to. This was a bit of an odd experience. I start submitting around last May of 23 and my third submission – this one – got selected. This gave me a bit of false security because I was thinking, “Damn, my third one?! I got this!”
(I did not have this.)
I’ve gotten MANY rejections so far. It’s been a very tough uphill battle. I can say I’ve gotten several maybes, but I still have a lot of work ahead of me.
